Hunting Island Storm
A storm rolls into the south end of Hunting Island last Friday afternoon. That storm had some of the most vivid lightning and loudest thunder I've ever seen or heard.

Saint Helena Episcopal
As Molly and I walked through the cemetery of Saint Helena Parrish yesterday evening I looked up and saw this view that I don't think I've made a photo of before. This is a very photogenic building.

Jekyll Island Dunes
This is just a simple photo of some of the dunes on Jekyll Island. I think I make a photo like this every time we come here. We probably won't be back to Jekyll until next summer, so I couldn't resist making a photo in the almost perfect evening light.
As we were leaving the beach to go back to Bonnie's, a truck with WV license plates pulled in. We asked them where in WV they from and they said, Milton. That's just a few minutes west of where we live. They told us they were on their way to Florida to visit family and where stopping at different beaches along the way. Pretty cool.

Art Walk
Molly, Bonnie, Allie and I went up to the art walk yesterday evening (mostly to do some people watching) then we met Kim at Graziano's for pizza before we headed back home. Since it was the Art Walk I took my Fuji x-e2 with only my 35mm lens, and only shot hipsterish black & white. ;-)
The first one is the Blossom Dairy sign. I thought it looked like pac man. The second is in the window of Stray Dog Antiques. Third is the old Merrill Photo store that's been turned into an art gallery and framing shop. Fourth is a lampshade in Taylor Books on Capitiol St. Fifth is Old Glory atop a building on Capitol St. Sixth is Kim and Bonnie on Capitol St. just up from Graziano's, and the last one is Saint John's Episcopal on Leon Sullivan Way.

Dataw Island Clouds
Some people might look at this photo and think that I did a bunch of post-processing in photoshop to get the clouds to look the way they do. I did do some, but a very minimal amount. The biggest thing I did was to bring out some shadow detail of the marsh grass in the foreground. I actually desaturated the color a little in another part of the photo.
This was one of the prettiest sunsets I've ever seen. I made this photo the day after Hurricane Arthur passed by Beaufort, SC.
