Kanawha Valley Fog

Fog is one of my favorite things to photograph.  These are a couple of photos from a foggy morning last week.

Hunting Island in Black & White

Nerd alert!!

These two photos are the same.  The only difference is that the top one is from a RAW file that I processed in Lightroom and converted to b&w with Nik software.  The bottom one is a JPEG that was shot in camera as a b&w with a red filter.  I can't decide which one I like better.  Probably the top one.

Evening On The New river

Here's a couple of photos from week before last.  I had also put these up on my Instagram page.  The top one is obviously Fayette Station Bridge and the other one is from on the bridge.  I love it down there in the evenings.

Mason County Sunset

It looks like I haven't posted on my blog for a pretty good while.  I hope my "legions" of
fans aren't too disappointed.  ;-)  I've been posting a lot of stuff on Instagram, or as the cool people say, "the insta G".  Click right here to see my Instagram feed.

Hunting Island Fog

We went out to the beach this afternoon and found some awesome fog.  It had been sunny until we got to Hunting Island, where it looked like a cloud had dropped out of the sky and covered the island.  It made for some great photography.

Monday At The New River Gorge

Monday was a great day.  Molly and I got some rock climbing in after she got out of school.  When we finished climbing we headed over to Beauty Mountain for the sunset then to Water Stone Outdoors to get some stickers for Molly's new ('91 Dodge Dakota) truck.

Tuesday Morning

One of the most dramatic sunrises I've seen.  I was at work with only my 35mm lens for my Fuji x-e2 and I was so struck by the awesomeness that I didn't think about going up on the roof of the fire station until it was over.  Booo!
