The Stars and Stripes

There's not hardly anything prettier than that.

The Tettenburn's

Our friends have been wanting me to take a family photo for a while now but we couldn't get schedules or weather to cooperate. Today ended being a great day for it. We all loaded up and went to the Capitol ( I love taking pictures there) to get the shot. After the photos we walked around in the Capitol and the Cultural Center for a while. One of the girl's boyfriend is from out of state and had never seen our Capitol before. I also ran into The Imagesmith as we were leaving. After that we went to the movies and watched The Blindside. I'm usually not crazy about sports oriented movies but this was a great one.

Beaufort, SC Christmas Tree

Christmas Day

My brother and I have sort of a tradition going. On Christmas and Thanksgiving after we eat dinner we go for a walk by the railroad tracks. My daughter has been coming along the past few years too. There's always something interesting to see there. This year we saw some kind of animal carcass and a freight train that has been parked on a siding for a couple of days.

Rainbow

This was the brightest and longest lasting rainbow I think I've ever seen. My daughter and I were on our way to pick up a pizza when we came out and saw one end of it. She had to run in and get her camera then we headed across the river to Saint Albans roadside park to get the shot. I was worried it would be gone when we got over there but it had just gotten brighter. There were people out everywhere looking and taking pictures. After we got our shot and were back on the pizza run my daughter said, "I prayed for it to still be there when we got to Saint Albans and it worked!".

I think of Psalm 19:1 when I see something like this. "The heavens declare the glory of God. The skies proclaim the work of his hands."

This photo doesn't do it justice.
