Changing Skies

I took these photos just a few minutes apart and from almost the exact same spot.  It's not a super scenic spot, but it's where we were when the sun was setting.

Sweet 16

Molly didn't want what you would think is typical for a 16 year birthday party.  She wanted to go shooting and swimming, and that was fine with us.  She invited one of her best friends to go with us, and we went to a nice range near Montgomery and shot for a few hours.  Then we had Frank's Pizza in Montgomery.  After that we went to Cotton Hill on the New River and swam and jumped off rocks and explored around for a while.  We left there and went to Fayette Station and walked up the river to the next to last rapid on the lower New and floated back to Fayette Station in our life jackets.  We topped off the day with a giant birthday cookie at her grandparents house.  It was a great day.

We hiked out Long Point Trail yesterday evening to watch the fireworks show that Adventures on the Gorge put on.  I've got a few more but this is the only one I had time to work on this morning before going to work.

Sunday Pictures

Just some random pictures from Sunday.  The group shot was after we came home from Kim's cousin's funeral.  The reason I have on my dress uniform is because he had been a member of the Gauley River Volunteer Fire Department in Jodie, WV for 37 years and was still active when he died.

The shot of John Amos came about because we went to Dairy Queen for some ice cream, then went for a little drive and ended up at the Raymond City boat ramp.  It seems we end up there a lot after we get DQ.

The other two are just some random stuff around the yard.

We spent most of the day around Fayetteville and the New River Gorge.  We got poured on while we were doing the Gravity Zip Line at Adventures on the Gorge but it was still fun.

Kim was visiting her cousin's mother in the hospital, so while she was there Molly and I went for a little photo walk around downtown before we picked her up.  We only got approached by one bum while we there.  Molly says I'm a bum magnet.

I titled the post "Warner Law Offices" just to see how many hits I would get.  ;-)

Quilt Barn

Somewhere in Mason County.  We went for a drive this evening looking for a new porch swing.  My mom said she had seen some at a market in Midway, WV.  So, we drove out there and found nothin'.  We called her and told her we couldn't find it, so she racked her brain and called her friend and they figured out that it was the Halfway Market in Milton.  Doh! 

We had a fun drive anyway.  We drove all the way out State Rt. 62 to Point Pleasant then  back home on Rt. 35.
