Saint Albans / Nitro Bridge

The Saint Albans side of the bridge was blown down this morning at 10:00 am.  It was a pretty impressive boom.  The Nitro side will be blown next Friday at the same time.

I took a series of 29 photos of the explosion but these 2 were my favorites.

Man, I like that first one. I couldn't believe the amount of black smoke that was generated.

Thanks. The boom was louder than I thought it would be too. I took pictures of the Chelyan bridge when it was blown down and I don't remember it being that loud, but I wasn't on the water for that one and I don't think I was as close.
