Spirit of Georgia

You don't get to see one of these beauties very often.  The B-2 Stealth Bomber made two passes for the air show.  My father-in-law didn't go with us to the show today, but got to see the B-2 anyway.  He just happened to be out working in his yard when it flew low over his house on it's way to the air show.

U.S. Army Golden Knights

Part of the Golden Knights parachute team jumping for the air show today at the Marine Corps Air Station in Beaufort, SC.  It looked like he was using sidewalk chalk on the sky.

Stay tuned for more pictures from today.  The main attraction was the Blue Angels.  I got a bunch of shots of them, hopefully a couple turned out.

Dump Truck

A little bit of action down the street from our house this morning.  A guy was pulling a dump truck out of it's spot, and he either forgot the bed was up or it didn't come down in time to miss the telephone lines.  The bed caught the lines and flipped the truck onto it's side.  Nobody was injured.

Hale Street

Saturday Evening

Kim had to go to her office this evening for a little while, so Molly and I went with her and messed around town for a bit.  On our way home we stopped by the best pizza place in the world, Graziano's!

Weston State Hospital

Went to Weston today to do a photo tour of the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum.  It was really cool to be on your own in there for four hours.  This is one of my favorites.

Arne Moltis for Governor

At first I thought the sign read, "Arne Molt is 4 governor", but then I put his name "in the Google" and found it is actually Arne Moltis.  How 'bout that?

Carlos Akers Memorial Track Meet

We went to Cabell Midland High School today for a track meet.  This is my daughter's first year running track, so that means it's the first track meet we've ever been to.  Well, let me tell ya.  We got there at about 10:45 am and we waited around 'til about 3:59 pm when my daughter's race started.  She ran it in 36.11 SECONDS, then we left.  What do you think about that?  I got a couple of good pictures of her though.

I did get to watch a great 1600 meter race (for those from the Sissonville area, that's a mile).  Sophomore Jacob Burcham from Cabell Midland ran it in 4:13.69.  That smashed the stadium and meet records and is the third fastest mile in the USA for a high school student.
