What A Difference...
...a day makes. The top photo is from Sunday afternoon. It was cold but sunny. The temperature was about the same today as yesterday, around 15 degrees F.

Keeping An Eye On Pinterest
I really like making photos with just the light form an iPhone or an iPad. There was a tiny bit of ambient light, but not much. I was trying to focus on the reflection in her eye so I could see if I could tell what she was looking at, but it was too small even when enlarged on the monitor.

Herzog
A couple of rail car panoramas that I liked. The top one is a 3 shot panorama and the bottom one is 4. Click on them for a better view.

Charleston Baptist Temple
This is from one day last week. All we've had is cloudy weather for a while, but it makes for good black and white photography.

Sunday Afternoon Color
It had been a while since I went for a walk just specifically to make pictures, so while Kim was nappin', Molly and I went to Charleston and walked around town for a while. It was perfect weather and there was still some color on a few of the trees downtown.

Saturday Morning Street Shots
I had a couple of things to do in Charleston Saturday morning, so while I was there I took a nice walk around downtown.

Wednesday Evening Rainbow
We saw five rainbows yesterday evening and I saw one the day before. All doubles! The other one in this photo is barely visible. It's to the left of the bright one. The last one we saw was "full on across the sky. Whoa!!!" I wish I would've been able to get a photo of that one.

Brunswick River
A big thunderstorm had just passed through Brunswick before I made this photo. The plant is Georgia-Pacific Cellulose. One of our cousins works there.

WV State Capitol
This is a photo of part of the rotunda inside the West Virginia Capitol building. I liked the way the light was hitting the marble walls and the painted part of the ceiling. It was only when I got home and looked at it on the computer that I noticed how symmetrical the photo was. I shot this hand held at a pretty low shutter speed of 1/40th of a second. This shot hasn't been cropped or straightened at all. I don't think I could've lined it up any straighter if I'd been using a tripod. Pretty cool if I do say so myself. I usually don't get that lucky.
