Dragon Lady
The "Dragon Lady" is the Lockheed U-2. It's the plane on the right side of the picture, pointing upward.

Muddy Mess
This is Molly and I after we fixed a leak under the house. Kim had a pizza fixed and waiting on us when we got done. It was awesome.

Shay Number 5
This is the oldest fully operational Shay locomotive and it's still used today by the Cass Scenic railroad. It was bought in 1905 by the West Virginia Pulp and Paper Company in Cass, WV. I took this picture while My daughter and I were passing by on another train that was on it's way to Whittaker Station. I like this picture even though it's not in focus and there's some motion blur and the composition isn't that great. Usually I would just delete a photo like this but it reminds me of an old photo that could have been taken anytime between 1905 and now. I like it because there's nothing in the photo that would give away in what time period the photo was taken.

Guthries ?
A building on Dickinson Street in Charleston. I thought the sign read "Guthrie's Pub", when I took the picture, but now that I look at it I can't really tell what the last word is. I'll have to ask Kim, since "midtown" was one of her beats, years ago. Tom Hindman, do you know what it says?
This is in the "Street Level" style.

Green Bank Telescope
A couple more shots of the GBT. The guy that gave us the tour said the people that work there call it the Great Big Thing. That thing is awesome up close.

Psalm 19:1
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.
My first attempt at photographing the Milky way. The telescope in the corner is the Green Bank Telescope. The largest land-based movable structure on earth. It's pretty impressive up close.

Cold, Snow and Fog
My daughter and I went to Snowshoe today. Kim's sick and she wanted us out of hair, so she booted us out. ;-) Our friends brother has an apartment there that he just remodeled and he let us have it for the weekend. When we got here it was 32 degrees, about an inch of snow and fog, fog, fog!
