Zuccotti Park
This is the park that was overcrowded with protesters from the "Occupy Wall Street" movement. We got some pizza right across the street and ate it in the park, then rode the subway to Times Square.

Lucky Thirteen
Man, talk about going out in the middle of nowhere to play softball! We did last night. The Lady Lions played the Lady Wildcats of Hannan High School in Mason county. Cat fight!!! I'd never been in this area of WV before even though it's not really that far away. Click here for a satellite image of the area. It's really pretty out there.
That's my baby girl up to bat. She's turned out to be one of the best, if not the best, hitter on the team.

Teays Valley Christian School Lady Lions
The Lady Lions lost this evening to the Ladies from St. Joseph Central Catholic High School in Huntington. This is the first year for TVCS to have a girls softball team and even though they lost today it seems like the practices are really paying off and they're coming together as a team.

Chinatown
We spent a couple hours in Chinatown on Tuesday afternoon. Talk about an interesting place. I would love to go and spend a whole day there exploring. The little girl was at a shop on Bayard St. Kim had stopped there to look at a jade elephant (she likes elephants) and she came out and spoke to us. She and her mom and dad were very nice.

World Trade Center
The building on the left is One World Trade Center and the building on the right is the U.S. Post Office. I'm not sure which WTC building the other one is. I made this photo from the cemetery of Saint Paul's chapel.

Carlo's Bake Shop
We took a little side trip to Hoboken on Wednesday morning. Allie and Molly love to watch Cake Boss so we went to Carlo's Bake Shop to see if the stuff was as good as everybody says. We had to wait outside in the cold to get a ticket, then we had to wait some more after we got the ticket. The bakery is really small and it was packed. You could barely move around and see what you wanted because of the crowd. We decided what we wanted and waited for them to call our number. While we were waiting I found myself a little corner out of the way and was just waiting, when one of the workers came out with two trays of fresh cup cakes. He must have hit one of them on the showcase or something, because he asked me if i wanted a free cup cake because the "top" of it was broken loose from the "stump". I said, "heck yeah". We got our stuff and snacked on it during the rest of the day and finished it off for dessert at a pizza shop on the corner of 50th St. and Broadway. I'd say it was worth the wait because the stuff was really good!

World Trade Center Memorial
We went to the World Trade Center Memorial Tuesday evening. It's hard to describe the feeling you get when you walk around and read the names of all the people that were murdered on that awful day.
Grand Central Terminal
We just got back from our trip to New York City and I wanted to post one of my favorite shots. I know, this shot has been done to death, but I like it anyway. I made the black and white shot but decided I liked the color version better, then I asked Kim which one she liked better and she said they both looked pretty cool and I should put them both up, so I did. Anybody that has any comments on which one they like better, let me know. I've got a bunch more pictures to process and post, but I think I'm gonna go to bed.
