A couple more...

...from Huntington yesterday.

Don't mess...

...with my girls.  My wife bought herself an AR 15 for her 25th anniversary on the Charleston Police Dept.

Federal and Local

6th Avenue

I waited for the "super moon" to come up Saturday night, but it was too cloudy and overcast to get a decent shot.  I was disappointed.  Oh well, here's one without it.

Hyacinth

This came in an arrangement that our friends, Dan and Amy, got for my wife when her mom passed away a few years ago.  It's always one of the first things to bloom.

Ladder Training

Trained with ladders today for a few hours.  We always have a good time no matter what we're doing.

A Fraction

My wife's grandmother passed away this weekend and a lot of the family was there for her funeral.  This is just a fraction of my wife's dad's side of the family.  She had 12 kids (all still alive), 29 grand kids and 41 great grand kids.  That's 82 blood relatives, not to mention all the in-laws and out-laws.

Cousins

Kim and I aren't cousins, I don't think, just the other ones.

Future Firefighter

My cousin's little girl from Georgia swears up and down that when she's old enough she's gonna come to WV and become a Saint Albans firefighter.  I can't blame her, it's the best job in the world.

21st St.

I was on my way to Charleston this morning to have lunch with some friends of mine when I saw this huge header of smoke in Dunbar, so I hopped off the interstate and went to check it out.  It was apparently a vacant house that had been boarded up for a while.  When I got there, there were no firefighters inside attacking the fire and it looked as if they had it somewhat under control.  I stood around awhile and talked to a couple of people I knew and as I was leaving I could see that the fire had spread to the garage and was about ready to take off so I waited around 'til it did.
